Challenge: Design a web-based feature story and partner content, and as a way to present data, explain concepts, and immerse online readers in a multimedia experience. In this project, create an infographic based on data on connected to the topic of a story, this will become an interactive experience to expand the story.
The concept for my interactive story design came from my interest in music and pop culture. I decided to do a story design on grunge music in the 90s and figured I can design it after a music and culture focused magazine, like the Rolling Stone. I wanted a consistent color palette throughout the article, so I based it off of the Rolling Stone logo itself. I utilized red as an accent color and stuck to a warm color palette, which is seen throughout the infographic and also the “hero image.”
